Can You Have An Adventure ?

There are times in today's world when it is hard to understand people. They can act in ways that feel strange and unkind, as if they don't stop to consider who they might be hurting along the way.

Perhaps there are too many movies, too many comics and stories that make it look like this is just how life is supposed to be — cold, hard, and uncaring — until people start to believe it.

What they forget is that life itself is such a wonderful, precious gift. It is full of all kinds of adventures waiting for us — small adventures and big ones, quiet ones and joyful ones.

Instead of calling it "work" or using some other harsh word that weighs the heart down, we could call it what it truly is — an adventure. Every day is another page, another chance to explore, to learn, to love, and to be kind.
